Connecting West Sacramento with the Natural Resources of the River

The Bridge District is located along West Sacramento’s riverbank, immediately south of the Tower Bridge. Planned for potential future growth and flexible use, many of the Bridge District’s building projects are yet to be determined. A unique development opportunity, the Bridge District offers the benefit of close proximity to both the natural resources of the river and the urban offerings of downtown Sacramento across the bridge. Future residents, business owners, employees, and visitors will have easy access to community parks, outdoor recreation, and LEED certified buildings. The project also benefits from Proposition 1C money for infrastructure from California’s Strategic Growth Plan for Housing and Community Development.

Thomas Law Group attorneys Tina Thomas and Ashle Crocker worked with the project applicant to secure entitlements for a walkable 60-acre community within the Bridge District, with a design that promotes healthy living and an engaged community. This 60-acre project will consist of approximately 1,700-2,800 residential units, 2.4-3.5 million square feet of commercial space, and 215,000 square feet of retail space. The project was approved by the West Sacramento City Council and no lawsuit was filed to challenge project approval.
